EMBELLISHING THE STONE

Alice received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York. She is a free-lance graphic/web designer with a passion for all things seed beads. As a member of the Delaware Valley Bead Society, Alice designed and maintains their web presence.

The need to be creative had always been nurtured by her mother, to whom her pieces are often dedicated.  Alice loves to learn a new stitch and see where the beads will take her. The concrete, repetitive nature of bead embroidery frees her imagination. Designs are mostly unplanned, instead preferring the serendipity of the process. When a piece is finished, she is fulfilled with a sense of accomplishment and integrity.

Finding inspiration in all aspects of life... other artists, music and nature, she is awed by the mystery of how creation occurs.
